Students at Ark John Keats Academy are celebrating an impressive set of GCSE results today, with improved headline measures and progress and attainment significantly above national averages.
Students collected their GCSE results this morning after years of hard work and commitment. They achieved a very strong set of grades, including an Attainment 8 score of 50.2 and an indicative progress score of +0.7 placing this year’s outcomes among AJK’s strongest results to date. English and Maths outcomes were strong, with 52% of students achieving grade 5 or above in both subjects.
Katie Marshall, Principal, said: “We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students and all that they have achieved. These results reflect their hard work, resilience and ambition, as well as the dedication of our staff and the support of families. It has been wonderful to celebrate with students and parents today, and we are delighted that so many students are continuing their journey with us into our Sixth Form. Congratulations to every student receiving their results today!”
The following students achieved excellent individual results: Nabhan achieved nine grade 9s and one grade 7; Jing Wen achieved one grade 9, five grade 8s, one grade 6 and two grade 5s; Benjamin achieved two grade 8s, five grade 7s, two grade 6s and one grade 5; Jemima achieved one grade 9, five grade 8s and three grade 7s; and Mehmet achieved three grade 9s, four grade 8s, two grade 7s and one grade 6.
